For this exercise, I asked you to each choose a blog you admired, stating why you thought it was a good example, with some loose working criteria attached to the task.
Here is the list, with some summarised critique alongside the choices. I have added in my choice too, so that everybody was involved in the task; after all, we are fully inclusive!
This will give you all a really handy list of blogs, spanning all sorts of subject areas, which might inspire you, once you come to put your own assessed one / personal ones in the future together. Here they are then, as follows:
Mark - Word of Mouth – The Official Anchor Blog - this blog provides not only a great layout for the reader, but is very informative, really easy to navigate and crucially, has some very helpful information on "Anchor" and podcasting tips. You are welcome!
Heaven - Sumopocky | Custom Bakes This is the link to the blog I liked. I found it while looking at cooking blogs and thought the pictures were super adorable. If I was serious about a blog, I would want it to be about something that could incorporate cutesy stuff like the pictures of the food that it includes. I also really liked the layout of the site. I had a hard time building the layout of the mock blog and took me time to figure out a lot of stuff.
Victor - ttps://www.instagram.com/pelayodiaz/?hl=en - this is an Instagram account, Pelayo Diaz, he used to run a blog called Kate Loves Me, but he does not use it anymore, mainly uses his insta for blogging and posting about fashion and lifestyle.
Sarah’s Choice – Zoella is a very inclusive platform covering an extremely vast variety of topics which are all collated very easily in the header. It is one I’ve grown up reading as I have followed the original author: Zoe Sugg since I was around 9. The blog gives of a “big sister” vibe in the sense it covers lots of taboo topics and dishes out advice. I found it inspiring for my own blog in this sense.
Belo’s Choice – I chose this blog because I enjoy the content posted and find it useful.
Clare’s Choice – I chose this blog as it shares a lot of useful advice and resources that are particularly helpful to young people. It has been helpful when writing my own blog.
Lauren’s Choice – I chose this blog as I follow the author online and enjoy seeing her content. I get a lot of travel inspiration from her blog as she visits multiple destinations and writes about her experiences there.

TJ - https://mint.intuit.com/blog/ This blog is useful for me because I struggle with making good financial decisions sometimes. I get good information that is easy for me to use from it. It is well designed and I can easily find what I'm looking for.
Erin - https://www.adventurouskate.com/blog/
I chose this blog as I enjoy travelling and it is helpful for solo female travellers especially!
Halim - For the blog I’ve picked I decided to choose Perez Hilton (https://perezhilton.com/) who I enjoy as the format of his posts are laid out quite well and seems very detailed in his posts (although personally I’m not a fan of all the pink).
Freya - https://iamafoodblog.com/ - This inspired me as it was so organised and clean, so everything was easy to find. I hope to make a blog like this, as there is nothing worse than a cluttered, confusing site! It also looks super appetising and you know exactly what it is as soon as it loads.
Autumn - https://www.wix.com/blog/2017/07/nature-photography/ - I chose this Blog as I find it very interesting to learn about photographers and why/how they take the pictures that they do. I also just really enjoy looking at pictures of animals. It was nice and simplistic which effectively caught my attention.
These are all really inspiring blogs and should give everybody some fantastic ideas for your own blog. Well done everybody who got involved, impressive array of communication here, coming in different forms. Mark
